Ventilation Control Shaft.. Help Needed

Featured Replies

Hi, took the plunge and replaced my standard radio in my 2002 ford fusion..

cut the horizontal strips and fitted a standard double din radio using facia/harness adapter.. all working great but...

the flexible shaft that comes from the ventilation selection knob came off..

in the pics i posted you can see it going up behind the dash before i pulled it a little to fit to the controls again after fitting the new radio.. and it came out..

i have looked and cant see where it goes..

it selects what fan the heat comes from.. currently its stuck on my feet..

I have the dash back on, but have not screwed it in.. so can remove to fix this...

does anyone know where it goes?

look forward to hearing from you..

paul

Hi and Welcome

Have you tried getting your hand up from behind the footwell to see if you canfind where it should push into , it might be a selector or other twist type action , its hard to tell from the pictures as they are small
