Mpg For A 1800 Zetec

Featured Replies

HI all

Can any one tell me what mpg i should get out of a 1800 16v zetec please

A lot is down to driving style and the type of driving your doing. If the car is well serviced and mechanically ok then it should be doing near 40mpg.

Tee Hee 40mpg?? 32 at best and thats driving miss daisy, if you drive like a focus should be driven minus1000mpg, lol! economy round town shocking but very good on long journeys, I lie awake at night dreaming of 40mpg

In a word, crap! Driving carefully, with correct tyre pressures and regular servicing, I get 23-24 round the town and it takes ages to get up to 40mpg on a run. This engine is also worse on fuel when temperatures drop. In last years severe cold snap mine was struggling to do 20 mpg. My ancient Primera GT was better on fuel!!Car is great drive, spacious, well bolted together but could be taking a hike for something less expensive to run and tax.

im glad im not the only one.... 40 mpg behave!!! lol ive got a 2010 focus Zetec S 1.8 pertrol and i get about 20.5 mpg driving fairly normall but its all short journeys around town, i havent had a drive on the motorway in months lol

having had one for a while before i traded it in you should easily be getting 32-34mpg that was from brim tests thats on b roads around town youll be looking at 28 ish depending on traffic etc

Yes, i have to agree with many of you: 24-25 mpg around town. i do a lot of that.

30-34 mixed driving. it takes light years to achieve 40mpg. i achieved 41mpg on my way down to Marseille
