Where does the creaking sound like its coming from? I've got a 60 plate and have no creaking noises. Do you mean it creaks when you're turning the wheel?

Sounds like the brakes need a good clean.

We had a grinding brake noise on our SportKA. When I looked I found that the inner side of one of the brake discs had corroded. It didnt matter how much driving or braking was done on them, the corrosion never cleared. I replaced these in the end and no problem since.

I recon the car had been standing for quite some time before we bought it, which allowed the discs to corrode.

the grinding brakes is most likly the pads worn down and need replacing get this looked at quickly as you will damage the discs and loose braking efect when using the car.
