Iphone And Ford Fiesta

Featured Replies

Just purchased a 2010 fiesta zetec. Great car. Had the problem with comparability with Iphone4 and used ford 2011 upgrade to rectify the problems which has worked a treat. Can now use audio buttons on wheel to change songs and volume. Centre console also displays song title.

Can use both Bluetooth or USB to play iPhone.

My query is this. I can't find a way of selecting artist or album via the ford controls. Is this possible?. Not sure if it can be done. If I want to change artist / album whilst using Bluetooth need to do it via phone. Whilst using USB device the phone screen does not give you any access to your phone music library as it comes up with a accessory connected with a picture of an iPod. To change artists via USB I need to disconnect phone change artist and reconnect.

Any way of changing artist or album via controls. Do have voice control but don't think you can use that?.

Any advice appreciated

You should be able to control the iPhone music libary through the stereo controls. It should bring up the playlists.

Use the 4 directional buttons.

Use the left arrow when you are listening to a song from iPhone. Using left button will go back a level - folder list.

Or press aux button, select iPod by clicking right directional button. This should bring up playlists on the device.

Thanks for your reply. Managed to get Artists/ album display when playing From iphone via USB as you described. Have to use radio console to do this and can't scroll back to artists/ albums using steering wheel controls. Can only use this to scroll between songs on a particular album. Is there any way you can use steering wheel controls to do this?. Maybe doing something wrong

When I go to radio console and press AUX comes up with 4 or 5 options. BT audio Is highlighted in solid orange. When I scroll up to IPod and press ok it doesn't seem to do anything. There is a right arrow key next to it. Pressed right arrow direction button on console and didn't have any effect.

Hope this makes sense??.

May be the case that I simply can't use steering wheel controls to scroll between artists and albums. Not sure.
