Fiesta Finesse 2003 Stereo Question

Featured Replies

Hello,

Found this place on Google and was hoping someone could give me some advice. I recently purchased a Fiesta Finesse after I had an accident involving the bonnet clasp of my old Clio breaking off at 70MPH on Christmas day... complete write off and I would never go Renault again so I have purchased my first Ford.

Nice wee run-around car for me, I am a student so I don't really require the car that often.

Anyways, my girlfriend bought me a brand new stereo system and I am very keen to get it all installed but I am starting to think that it will not fit in my car. I'm sure most of you guys will be familiar with the CD player in the car in question. It seems to be split into three components in the dash... I cannot see how it will be able to accommodate my new stereo.

The salesman mentioned an adapter... but I don't know if that was just to try and close the sale. Where do I get my hands on this adapter and more importantly will it look stupid in my car? I would like my stereo to look like it belongs in my car... not hanging out everywhere.

I hope this makes sense to someone on this forum.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Phil

Sorry to hear about your renault, that doesnt sound very good especially not on christmas day. You werent injured were you?

And im asuming as my friend has a finesse that you may need one of thsese http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-MK6-Stereo-Fascia-Facia-Aerial-Adaptor-/260797455239

As your stereo is a single tier? If so then that will be needed so you can fit it in, the little comparment is kind of useless but it stops it from looking stupid i suppose.
