Whooshing Sound From Wheel...

Featured Replies

Basically started to notice a whoosh whoosh whoosh sound at low speeds approaching the lights for instance, does anyone know what that would be?

And if a real problem would it be covered by the warranty, the car is a 2010 model.

What kind of woosh? Does it sound like something grinding against something, or more of a liquid sound?

Hmm.. could be something stuck between the brake disk and pad? Or wheel bearing, but it would be bad crack if it was a bearing :/ if it doesn't sort itself out in a few days take it in

I've recently had a rubbing noise that suddenly rectified itself after about a week-ish. Still keeping a ear out encase it returns

lol...im not sure how I can describe it, it doesnt sound like a grinding noise....theirs no vibration in the steering wheel etc...the ONLY time I notice it when slowing approaching lights.....so more of a liquid sound?

Also the car only has just under 21k miles..most have been easy motorway milage.

Also Ill ask here...where did the detailing thread go that was at the top of the forum?

Only thing I can think of is check the disks and pads for wear or uneven wear, warping of the disk or anything, check CV joints or take it in under warranty, I'm a firm believer of if there's any problem give it back to Ford to sort really, sorry I can't be of much more help, mainly asked just to clarify just in-case someone else knows what the problem is.
