Abs Pump/module Fault Mk3 Galaxy

Featured Replies

Hi All

The ABS unit started up on it's own with no key in ignition. Found this out one morning on our way to Church(yes some still go). There was a motor running in the engine compartment. Only way to stop it was to disconnect the battery or take the fuse out. Got it to fords to have it checked on the diagnostic, found to be the ABS unit and the module, cost £1016!!!!. The mechanic told me that the diag machine asked "is the ABS running with ignition key out" so this must be a known fault. My Galaxy is Mk3 2007 TDCi only done 25,000 miles, I don't think that is a good life time for a ABS unit. I have found one other person in another forum who with the same model and year, had the same problem, cost him £1011. Are there anymore out there?
