I should be getting my car around the 1st of March 2012. Ive been waiting ages for the car and wanted to get some mats for it.

Will a 2012 reg still be a MK7 does anyone know? I dont want to end up buying the wrong mats

Yeah it's a Mk7.

The majority of people call it a MK7 (2008-present)

Some eBay auctions call it a MK8.

Technically it should either be a MK6 or MK8 - but that's an argument that can never be won ;)

Make sure you gets mats for 2011 onwards as Ford changed the fitments design.

What's the previous shape to ours called then Nath? I thought that was an MK6.....

Technically, these are the Fiesta variants:

Fiesta Mark I (1976–1983)

Fiesta Mark II (1983–1989)

Fiesta Mark III (1989–1997)

Fiesta Mark IV (1995–2002)

Fiesta Mark IV (1999–2002): facelift

Fiesta Mark V (2002–2008)

Fiesta Mark V (2005–2008): facelift

Fiesta Mark VI (2008 on)

Where the confusion comes is that some people count the facelifts as new marks and that some of the marks overlapped in some markets.

The safest bet when buying stuff for your car is to check the year and the mark. Or, if still in doubt, just ask the seller!

It kinda is a Mk6, but you'll be disappointed when you look for Mk6 on fleabay and find nothing but 05 Fiesta stuff, though saying that Mk7 sometimes brings up the odd thing >.< Mk7 is the easiest to go by :P

Cause of all the confusion I use both MK7/8 when using eBay....
