Hi, I haven't had my MK.7 long, so I'm still in the throes of finding out what does what. The other day I selected MPG and I'm getting readings all over the place from 99.9 to 0.2, and it's still doing it. I've only been doing short trips so far. Do I need to wait until I do a longer trip to settle it down? Or should it be stable straight away?

My previous car (Mondeo), seemed to settle down quite quickly when in this mode.

Any one know anything about these things?

    There are 2 mpg screens, you've got it on the 'live' one so it will show how much fuel you're using second-by-second.

    Another press on your indicator stalk will take you in to average mpg.

    Yeah, two readings - Average MPG and Instant MPG, you must be showing the instant one.
