thank you all for giving me the confidence to fit a new coil pack myself, I also fitted new leads and plugs, the misfire has been fixed but the ecu light is still on, is there a way to reset it.

I had to replace the coil pack on my fiesta (saturday) disconnected battery - reconnected after 5 mins (resets ECU ) let it idle for a few minutes and drove round for half an hour then parked up. when i turned engine back on the management light went out as normal ..something to do with a complete system check needs it to be upto operating temp before it goes out ..don't know if it works for a focus ..does this help?
