Brake Discs Repalacement After 25K Econetic

Featured Replies

Hi

has anyone been told at a ford main dealer to that they should replace their discs as well as the pads on the 2nd service ?

Thanks

Adam

Surely this depends on your driving style, and type of driving etc...

I go thru pads and discs like wildfire because of the way i drive and i use them heavily.

Never heard of it being a standard interval replacement part tho

Depends on the wear not any set mileage, as I dont use my brakes much I get ages out of pads and discs, my C5 did over 100k on its original discs, not sue what I will get on the mondeo it had discs 30k ago by the previous owner

The dealer is talking rubbish if he is suggesting that is standard proceedure. When my last Focus went in for its 2nd service on 25k miles there was no mention of it. They do however recommend you have the brake fluid changed though.

sounds like they are looking for ways to make money..
