Hey guys,

Any chance you know a code reader that will read 2001 diesel TDCI. I dont have the money for a snap-on scanner but any other cheaper ones would be helpfull.

    Is there any specification that it should be though? for example obd2 compliant. I have tried a few can obd2 ones but couldnt communicate with it.

    you have to bear in mind that 2001 for diesel and 2004 for petrol (hopefully thats the right way round!) means that not all cars from within that year are guaranteed to work, for example, if your car was made just before the function became a standard, then your car wont have been coded for it. Whereas anything after, it may work, so if you get some that dont seem to work, it may not necessarily be the fault of the unit...
