Fuel Pressure Senor

Featured Replies

Hi evryone,

I'm a total forum virgin so please bear with me.

1.8 tdci LX 114k 2007 full history (ex lease)

Over the weekend has started to shudder when excelorating, and eating fuel, 32mpg, has been 48 to 50mpg average since we purchased last August.

No engine management light on, but local garage coded it as Fuel Pressure Sensor, they said the sesor is part of the fuel line and can't be replaced seperatly, but have reset the code and said to try it until Wednesday or Thursday this week to see if it was a blip.

Is this likley, as the part is either £800+ if the pump end and £250 ish if the manifold end.

Any assistance greatly accepted

Many Ta's
