Featured Replies

Halfords ultrabrilliance.

50% brighter than standard.

Had them in my old MK1 for 3 years and no problems.

Philips bluevisions ultra for dipped, or if you mean full beam then philips x-treme vision

halfords now do super excelence ultra or something there called but there 120% brighter than standard and im quite impressed with them, also there bogof at the moment :)

Thanks a lot guys, so these are all legal? :)

Ultrabrilliance are 50% so are definitely street legal, not so sure about the 120% ones.

i'm pretty sue they are only supposed to be used for "show / off road".

IIRC Halfords do mark the bulb packaging as to whether they are legal or not.

Just have a look for that all important 'E'......

Thanks folks, so 'E' means road legal? :)

Also what would yous reccomend for sidelights/ numberplate lights? :D

For sidelights you cant go wrong with Philips bluevisions they often come free if you purchase of powerbulbs , they take away that orange effect, I had them in my fiesta and they looked awesome!

Ive got leds on my plate but its a focus not sure if they are all the same for fiesta but I got them off ebay.

So if i buy the phillips dipped bulbs ill likely get the sidelight ones free? :)

yeah if you buy the philips bluevision dipped you will get bluevision sidelights free.

check on powerbulbs website ,they even have a live chat system for any questions.

http://www.powerbulbs.com/store/category/car-bulbs

it states any order over £15 gets free sidelights
