Focus Not Starting Up

My 08 focus with only 19,000 miles on it has an intermittent start up problem where sometimes it either wont start or starts up but then dies. to solve it I usually just put my foot on gas and this starts it.

It's very rare that it happens but I had this exact problem with my 52reg fiesta but that had 90,000 miles on it and a burning oil problem which I think was linked to it.

Just wanting to know if anyone else has this problem? It's not effecting me as the car does start in the end and its not much of a pain.
