Cleaning

Featured Replies

Hi

Was cleaning my car today and mistakingly wax polished over the plastic caps of the wing mirrors, window borders and the plastic strips along the roof.

It has left white marks on them and wondered if I can get the marks off them easily.

Cheers

Good scrub with an all purpose cleaner (Tesco Daisy is a fine example, and absurdly cheap)

Finish up with Ground Nut Oil to enhance the black. It's as good as any commercial black product in my opinion.

Spot on!

Cheers mate!

Silicone (usually used to protect the rubber sealings) is also useful for remowing the white marks.

Both are excellent solutions and you don't need to buy the back-to-black stuff to get a good result.
