MARLEY
Hi All A friend of mine owns a focus 2007 auto and when it changes up or down the gears it is very clunky/erratic. Will it have any sensors or switches that need changing or will it just need a simple oil change? Many Thanks Paul
Pidu
First of all check ATF level, colour and smell. If it not red and smells like burnt I would start from ATF change. Computer diagnostic should show if there are any problems with gearbox electronic parts.

Pidu
Remember that ATF has to have normal working temperature (abt 15-20 minutes of city driving), engine should be running at idle speed, change from P to D and back before checking ATF level.
