sambooka
A friend of mine wants to tune his engine up a bit but the only remaps I can find only add about 10 bhp and that's not really enough so can anyone suggest anything
ukphillad
He can always consider adding an Induction kit in, that should give him an additional boost. 97 pounds seems like a good deal for it http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/category_results.mhtml?category=powertecsl1inductionkits&car=fordfocus&manufacturer=powertec&sub_category=1 Also changing the air filter will add extra power. IMO the K&N filters are always the best to go for and you can find the appropriate kit for your car here http://www.knfilters.com/kits.htm Depending on whether the car is diesel or petrol the power output will be different. Only adding 10 bhp to your car is not really worth the remap. He can always do an engine swap to a 2.0 litre.. Then remap it :P

Pidu
I would advice your friend to change the car, buy one with more powerful engine and enjoy the ride. There is no point tuning petrol engine without turbo, it will cost a lot of money and the results will be disappointing. It makes no sense from economical point of view. artscot79
if its the standard 1.6 then as said forget it if its the ti-vct then theres plenty of tuning kits available that are ford approved but they are not cheap by any means. to tune the standard you would be wanting the full st airbox with snorkle to start then a decent filter from k and n thensports cat stainless exhaust then a remap by that time you will have spent £1000+
