Wash Day Blues!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I cant get anything out of my rear wash wipe and the front are not great i think there maybe dirt onside the bottle as ive syphoned it out a couple of times and see some.

Is there anything i can put in the bottle to dissolve this or should i be removing it and cleaning it out away from the car?

If so how do i best remove it?

Cheers..

Start by flooding the bottle and get the carbon out, otherwise you will be removing the bottle and the wheel arch lining, then the lines, and maybe even the pump, which will not be fun.

Bare in mind, any chemicals you put in your bottle, will end up being sprayed onto your paintwork, and risk damaging it.

I would say, flood the bottle, then drain it, re-secure, and put a couple of bottles of white vinegar into the bottle, then run it through the jets (even if you have a cloth or something to catch it before hitting paint). let it run through a little, then leave the washer bottle with some in overnight, as it will be in the pump / lines, it should dissolve any crap.

Then I would say, flood out the remnants of the vinegar, fill up again, then run it through to push the vinegar out the last few inches of pipe/pump work :)

Used a combination of both above posts

worked a treat cheers

i found the easiest way was shove the end of a hose pipe down into the bottle and just flush it all out

Yeah I just like to clean the pump, the lines and the jets of any calcium as the hot water doesnt always do that!

Mr Redman, Glad that the suggestions worked for you though!
