2005 Mk 3 Tdci Exhaust Change

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm new to this so apologies if this is an existing thread.

Can anyone help me with refitting a centre/back box for the Mk3 1.6tdci??

I have managed to get the old one off with the help of an angle grinder; however i was looking for tips on how to get the new one on as the exhaust seems to be tight to the suspension.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

take it to an exhust place and ask them to fit it, shouldnt cost too much and hassle free!

Hi phil, welcome to the forum.

Please bung up loads of photos.

Just to let you know mate but going by the age of your car it's actually a MK2.

The cars went MK1, MK1.5 (facelift), Mk2, Mk2.5 (facelift) and now MK3 just out.

When buying parts from the likes of eBay be careful because they have the habit of misnumbering the models like you did.

Anyway - best option for your exhaust is a Halfords garage or Qwikfit.

only problem with going to quick flit youll end up with four new shocks and tyres pay an independent garage that way you wont be ripped(or shouldnt be) 3 of the very last resort places to use quick flit and halfrauds or main stealers
