Oops Should Have Followed The Instructions

Featured Replies

Well my Lockwood door sills protectors turned up this morning unfortunately after I'd scratched the sills:( never mind anyway read the instructions before fitting and it mentions using some fairy liquid and water to stop them sticking straight away and I thought I could skip doing that part.did one side perfect the other side I wasn't happy with so though how strong can the glue be :) needles to say I nearly pulled the doorsill out before it gave up and I could stick it properly they look good though

I bought official Ford ones and never used the instructions

Tape off > Sill on! (In the right place of course ;) lol )

Don't give me horror stories please, i still have mine in the boot awaiting the time to fit them. :(

There easy m8 just follow the instructions cos when they say the stuff goes of quite they mean it an hour if you follow the instructions instant if u dont

I've still got the blue protective film on mine from when the car was new! Can't bring myself to remove them as they look quite good and haven't started peeling yet,

They look so much better in their shiny glory.

I take it yours are for a 5 door and mine have the S badge engraved on them but they are shiny for now :)

I know what you mean.

The finish is so fine it shows all marks.

Still, better than scuffed sills.
