'99 Focus Ghia Handbrake Button?

Featured Replies

Hi,

The wife has just bought a '99 Focus 2.0 Ghia, manual gearbox. As she applied the handbrake the siver button and spring shot out of the handle. I've had a look and reckon there's some sort of insert/sleeve missing that the button locates into. The button itself has two guide slots cut into it and looks like it twists through 45/90 degrees to seat. Anyone out there got any info. or help?

Also where can I download/purchase a repair and parts manaual for this model?

Have had a quick search through the forum but couldn't find the info/links I was looking for. mind you, I'm not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to computers!!!

Cheers,

JamieFOB

As to the handbrake I can't help as my book is miles away.

As to a manual, try your local halfords or eBay for a Haynes manual.

Pretty much the best information you can get for home mechanics on your car.
