HI FOLKS, I OWN A 52 PLATE ST170. IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE RUNNING OF IT ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS WARM. WHEN YOU ACCLELERATE HARD AND IT REACHES ANYTHING FROM 4000RPM UPWARDS IT STARTS STUTTERING AND JUDDERING IT ALSO WONT HIT THE REV LIMITER WHEN STATIONARY.

I HAVE SO FAR REPLACED:

SPARK PLUGS

coil pack

i've got a new lambda sensor but needs fitting

if anyone can help that would be great

Fuel filter and HT leads?

Is it idling smoothly or is it a bit rough?

Have you tried putting a code reader on it to see if anything has been registered?

its not even starting now, but there is a spark

put a reader into it but comes up with different problems e.g IMRC,malfunction to fuel rail but that has replaced.

maybe its the crank sensor breaking down?

I know injector issues are mostly common on the mondeo TDCI's but this sound like a tdci injector issue so is it possible your injectors are knackered?

buying crank,cam sensors and now a coolant temp sensor because it has started leak

Hi there I have the same problem with my 03 plate focus to I've been told its my o2 sensor or Ben my fuel pump but I to have changed my coil pack and plugs to so how is ur car running now

hi need help with my st170 the inlet manifold runner control is not working , iv got the silver box of the bulkhead and opend it up tested the unit and the johnsons 540 motor is not working can anyone tell me where i can get a replacment motor from
