hi all, only bought car saturday, got main key with buttons etc, then spare key just standard no buttons, k thing is i lock car & set alarm with button wen me girlfriend borrows car she got spare key thing is wen she opens door alarm goes off & she cant start it obviously right, how can i stop this happening or have i gotta get another main key, yano a dupicate? p.s if i just lock it with the main key & dont use button the spare key then works fine no alarm goes off & can start car. does any1 no how much another main key would cost if i do need another 1.

Don't double lock it, i.e. just press the button once.

Otherwise best way is to get a new key and program it.

i only do press it once? but their is 2 buttons on the key fob the top 1 has a pic of 1lock the 2nd 1 has a pic of 2lock. can i use the 1lock pic button to lock & unlock it then? and will the alarm still b set?

its ok ive been using the 1lock pic button to open it & the 2lock pic button to lock it, its ok i ent never had keys like this. lol.

whats the age of your car? From experience you only get one electric key with older models, pre 2009
