Bigger Brake Discs??????

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Getting bigger alloys on my ford focus 2002 zetec and was informed that I should get mk3 mondeo brake calipers and transit connect brake disc that are 300mm rathe than mine that are 260mm.

does this seem right???? need bigger brake disc, due to bigger allows (better look).

Thanks Guys :-)

The mk2 focus and mk3 mondeo both use 300mm front discs (some models) but I doubt they will be a direct fit, you would also need to balance the rear with bigger brakes and more than likely change the master cylinder.

Probably not worth the hassle

agreed if you upgrade the front to 300 you will have to alter the rears either go bigger or have the balance sorted a bigger master cylinder is needed cost wise its not cheap upgrading the disks and pads to a quality set is a better option
