  • OK Chaps, This is the write-up I promised. As I said up-front, it’s a looonng post, but I’m not forcing it on anybody. It isn’t much of a gripping read in itself, I’d be the first to admit, but if any

Hi I'm Trying to get this to work on my Mondeo mk4 but I don't know how to get it to work how dose it work

Any one know

Hi all,

Just trying to get the ELM config app working and wondering if anyone else encountered these issues?

Tried installing the ELM config and I get the following error sad.png

component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered a file is missing or invalid

Fixed that issue and now get a new one similar to the above with mscomm32.ocx

Should this work for a 2013 Focus? ElmConfig seems happy to recognise the ELM - detects speed happily, but just says "offline", and never populates any of the data fields.

Thanks

For the MK3 i recommend the UCDS programme as its been tested on the mk3 and has its own programme as with the ELM is only says focus II.

Hello Tezza, why dont you respond to my PM?

Hi all anyone got a link to elmconfig in english eveyone I download seems to be in Russian? .

http://civil.iffc.ru/ELMConfig/ELMConfig.zip

Extract, run, choose English?

BTW, anyone know what the different custom firmwares do to the HEC?

I've tried 512, 512 TEMP and 512 FULL and can't see much difference. I tried translating and it seems to be to do with the snowflake icon (must be annoying in russia!). But they also mention fixing the shift up arrow to 2k rpm.

Any ideas?

I found a program like ELMCONFIG but that works (FOR NOW) only on Focus MK3

Its name is FOCCCUS and it's developed by a user of the same russian forum as elmconfig.

Here: http://ford.xtlt.ru/

You will find two links:

"AS built" is a utility to download (edit and save to file) the AS BUILT CONFIGURATION of your car from ETIS.

"FOCCCUS" is a promising software that allow you to change your current BCM and IPC configurations, with some addional and interesting tools. (like Elmconfig)

I looked for that on this forum but found nothing about adn wanted to start a new topic, but I'm not allowed to do it. So I posted here.

If anyone with higher privileges want to start a topic dedicated to FoCCCus is free to do it and let me know :)

Here's my same topic (with screenshots) on our italian (Ford Focus Mk3) forum: http://fordfocus.forumcommunity.net/?t=56029113

Welcome Kethav!

Out of curiosity, are you the developer of said software?

Hi Dudes

At last a program for the mk3 thought it would never happen

Mk3.5 will be out soon lol

Jamie

Anyone know if / how I can re-enable remote key locking using ELMConfig ??

Hi all,

Does anyone know if this program will be updated to also work with the Mk2 Kuga?

So far, I haven't been able to find anything like elmconfig that will work with the new kugas.

Cheers.

No, actually I'm not the author of such software... I said it is developed by a russian member of the russian forum http://ffclub.ru/

The latest available firmware version for the Focus MK2.5 instrument clusters are:

ROM 0511 for an instrument cluster with big display.

ROM 0512 for an instrument cluster with small display.

Most of the firmware versions are included in the ELMconfig program. You only have to select the firmware version you want to use before starting the firmware update procedure.

Thanks JW i am assuming with a small display you mean one like this?

20110210-Screaming-Ford-Focus-Dashboard.

Cheers

Yes, this is the MK2.5 instrument cluster with smal display.

I also have a MK2.5 instrument cluster with small display and upgraded to ROM 512 a while ago. Apart from some extra functions (like Ford ECOmode) I did not notice any big differences between the available firmware versions.

Hi Paul

It locks the doors between 5-10 mph i have not got an accurate speed,

but its good, i trust it, and it works every time

:-)

Jamie

Exactly...it is 7 km/h :). Translate it to imperial units by yourself :).

But target speed can be changed via elmconfig.
