hi

bought some mk7 mats for my car but they dont fit the driver footwell cos of the tabs not matching up have i got the wrong mats for my car ?

also i want a new overlay for my for key like a silver one or red one can these be bought for the flip key mk7 ?

    Hi mate,

    Sounds like you have been given the wrong mats.

    Key colour- search eBay for 'ford carbon' and you will find adhesive carbon effect key overlays that stick onto the key case or you can find sillicone covers in many colours too.

    Ford changed the location of the fixing points in the mats a while back hence them not fitting despite being for the mk7. If you bought them from a dealer they should change them for you, otherwise it may be a bit more tricky!

    they were bought off ebay :(

    so im gonna have to sell mine then ??

    also its just the ford badge i wanna change for a new colour badge like red or silver not over the whole key .

    Yeah the mats fixing points were changed from february 2011 onwards iirc..

    Ah, but you didn't say that ^_^

    Only place i know that does overlays is DMB Graphics.
