Grey Plastic Wrapping On Fiesta Mk7

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm new here. Just a quick question for starters;

I'm looking to improve the look of my white fiesta metal by wrapping all the grey bodywork plastics in piano black. This includes the rear valance, front number plate surround and also the wing mirror surrounds, plus some extra odd bits here and there.

Anyone know the best way to go about this? Should I do it myself or get someone to do it for me? And also what is the best stuff to use for it and where could I source it? I've seen cases in the past where the wrap has cracked or split from heat given off from the exhaust (as I have a milltek performance exhaust this is something to consider as it sticks out further than the standard one), and also a friend of mine had the same thing done to his corsa and about a month later the wrap just randomly flaked away..

I do not want to make these same mistakes so any help is greatly appreciated!

Cheers :D

First of all, welcome to FOC

Most people that have done similar things on here have actually painted these parts, not sure of the process for this though but I'm sure someone will pop up with the best way to do this..

theres a project thread on here that a lad called Ben created for his ZS which IIRC has a guide for painting the valance, fog surrounds etc
