Any Bluefin-Like Maps For The Mk7 1.6 Tdci?

Featured Replies

Title pretty much says it. Rang Superchips and enquired about their Bluefin remap and much to my dismay they told me they don't do a Bluefin box for the Mk7, so does anyone know of any company's that do them for the Mk7? It's either that or a tuning box which I know don't produce the same kind of results (and I'm aware of the stigma attached, my mum's Discovery has had one on for close to 100k without problems so I trust them).

Don't really want to have to take it somewhere to have it remapped as it's a lease car, so I would be constantly going back and fourth at £xx a time.

Thanks.

Superchips do a Map for it think I posted about it on a thread called hope for the oil burner if your interested hope this helps

If you just search burner in the fiesta forum it should come up

Yeah but their map is the kind where they remove the ECU to remap it, which with my car being a lease will be a pain as I'd have to get it put back to standard whenever it goes in >.<

You would have thought after doing the mk6zs tdci it wouldn't be to hard to figure out the mk7zs tdci

Especially as as far as I'm aware the 90PS engine is the same in the MK6 & MK7.

Wouldn't help us though as March 2010 > is 95PS with DPF.

Yeh I guessed stupid dpf filter and now removing them is MOT failure(I think)

Removing the dpf itself isn't an MOT fail as long as the dpf casing was left behind but the engine management fault light which would result from the removal is.

I've decided to buy a tuning box from here. I chatted to the guy selling it a few times and it seems as good an option to other tuning boxes for sale. I will post an update once fitted.

* UPDATE 1 *

I have now fitted this tuning box. It took about an hour. The car does feel more powerful now, a lot more low down torque. It also seems quieter too. I will update soon on how the mpg is.

* UPDATE 2 *

I've had it a few days now and it's a totally different car to drive. It's a lot more responsive and pulls harder in all gears. Also fitted a Pipercross panel air filter and it sounds alot better, quieter and smoother running. Fuel economy is up by about 5-6 mpg. Really impressed so far. It has highlight the next two modifications though, a short shifter and better brakes.
