hi people cleaned engine and now i cant get the bonnet to lock ,it holds on the safety catch but wont lock down,looks like a new cable needed just wondered what you guys n girls think.



yes mine did that comman issue with the cable adjustment.Took mine back under warranty as its 2010 .If you push the lever back manually you should be able to get it shut cheers Paul

I had a same problem last week, i had a nice high presure air cleaning and oil spray, after it is wor as a charm...

Thanks for the replies people .so tried giving the mechanism a good soaking with wd40 it took a while but finally released and the bonnet locked down cheers.

Now it's been given a good blast with WD40, i'd give it a good go with graphite grease to keep it lubricated, WD40 can sometimes dry the lock out and you'd be back to square one.
