When I Press The Phone Or Aux Button, It Says Mute?

Featured Replies

I have just bought a 2010 ws lx ford fiesta. It comes with the aux plug so i plugged in my iphone, pressed the button and nothing happened, it just went back to the radio. If I press the phone button it just comes up with mute, and if I go into aux through the menu it comes up with mute as well. Does anyone know to get this to work? Am I meant to be able to use bluetooth and voice control as well? Neither of those will work... I can't seem to get bluetooth to turn on. Any help appreciated! THanks!

Good morning Anthony and welcome to the Ford Owners Club.

I assume that you have the same issue as joz281e which is a post from September 2012

In short your car will not work with an iPhone, when it was built iPhone 3 was just out. Also the bluetooth handsfree was an option which most people back in 2010 didn't bother with. If when you press the button marked "Phone" all that happens is the radio goes Mute, then your car does not have bluetooth.
