Gear Shift Surround?

Featured Replies

Hello

Would like to know how,if possible, and how easy is it to change the gearstick surround on a Focus Zetec 1.8,2000

I'm pretty sure it unclips.

When I get access to my old Haynes manual, I'll give you the definitive answer.

Literally unscrew the gear nob and then hold each side of the surround and pull ,then you can then remove the gear stick gaiter as well.

if you type into eBay carbon fibre gear surround, you will find some reasonably priced replacements that have been vinyl wrapped.

Checked Haynes Book and it says to unclip the surround from the front and lift backwards.

Unscrew knob to remove gaiter from gearstick.
