Hi, i have a fiesta 1.4 tdci on a 04 plate, always been reliable motor however.....

a few months ago ea fail come up on the dashboard and went into limp mode (?) restricting revs to 2000, pulled over switched off etc restarted car and all ok for a while! this continued but with the frequency increasing until i have now got it on permanantly.

Got a mechanic to have a look, this resulted in diagnostic check showing the following

P1204 Cylinder 4 injector circuit open/shorted

P0204 Cylinder 4 injector circuit malfunction

The number 4 injector was renewed.

The injector top wiring loom was renewed.

The accelerater pedal was renewed.

Retested and reset but alas the problem persists!

Can anyone give me some help or guidance?

    I have the same ECA fail problem but mine is showing code P0200 injector circuit malfunction.Was wondering if you got to the bottom of your problem as i seem to be getting no where with mine just keep swapping parts for fun.
