Bonnet Wont Open 52 Reg 1.4 Petrol

i have a 52 plate 1.4 petrol fusion&the bonnet catch will not open the bonnet,it feels as though if i pull the catch any harder it will break.i have tried to press on the bonnet with somebody working the catch but that was no good,any ideas please ???

    you can open it from underneath the car theres loads of room to get to the catch

    I had the same problem the other week, what I did was take the plastic off from around the pull handle then unbolted the handle from the side wall and took the cable out from the mechanism and by pulling it hard with pliers managed to free the bonnet release. When opened I gave the bonnet lock a good spray with WD40 and worked it a few times without putting the bonnet down. Hope this helps
