A Favour From Mk6 1.4 Tdci Owners

Featured Replies

Hi

If you have a mk6 1.4 tdci fiesta next time you start up could you look to see if the engine mangement light flashes on then turns off?

I've just been down to my local garage to have a fault code read to isolate why my car is smokey (white/blue) when cold, has a lumpy idle and generally sounds like a tractor.

The garage couldnt connect to the car and said the light not flashing on and off was a sign the light had been possibly disabled by a dodgy dealer.

I know the led is ok from doing the hold in trip reset button on startup trick.

Thanks

Chris

Hi i have a 2003 i.4tdci have had it about a year now and the management light never comes on when i switch ignition on.I have been wondering if this is normally the case with these cars as any other car i have had puts the light on for a few seconds when you turn on the ignition. I have done self test mode and all lights come on.
