Hi everyone.I need a spare fob key, anyone know the best way to get one?

How many keys do you have now?

Standard is for one 3 button key and one passive transponder key -

if you have both you can get another key with a transponder in it from eBay and programme it yourself, BUT ONLY if you have both original keys.

If yoiu only have one key then you can buy your own replacement from eBay but will need it cut to fit your locks and programmed to your immobiliser system by Ford (expensive) or a friendly Auto Locksmith (not so expensive).

Do not use Timpsons or the like as they merely clone your original transponder code and this will cause problems if you wish to add extra keys to your immobiliser as the keys will be read as the same key by the ECU. (You need 2 distinct keys to activate the learning phase on the car).

Hope this is of help.
