Warranty

Featured Replies

as some of you guys will know i got a warranty direct warranty on the car 269 quid with wear and tear etc etc so last week the steering got sloppy and i had a knock when braking hard so called the warranty and was told put it in the dealers, i did and after a bit of investigation they found both front suspension arms worn so they informed the warranty a price of 400 quid was qouted thats parts labour and vat.

the dealer was given the go ahead and the car booked in new arms replaced with all new greased bolts tracking done and my only cost was 20percent towards parts as the car is over 70k miles that cost me 61 quid all paid direct to the dealer who even slapped on new wheel bolts on the front pass and drivers side free and tightened the handbrake free (my regular dealer) cant say fairer than that the 269 quid has paid for itself already with new rear bushes brake pipes and brake cylinders as well as new front wishbones

Good shout!

I remember when my warranty also paid for itself in one claim.

Warranty Direct are good, I think they have recently improved though.

Thats a good deal and well worth it , something i may look into once my warrany expires next year

you dont have to use their garages and they if the dealer requests will pay the dealer direct.

the bill for the rear was 600 of which i paid zero and the front was 390 i paid 61 quid

.the dealer i use is macklin ford theyre always brill and brilliant prices a decent ford dealer theyre doing my major service minus plugs and air filter as ive done them already for 79quid.

i must say its been well worth it and ill renew the warranty at the end of the year
