Hi

I've just bought a fiesta mk6 2003 1.4 zetec

When I start the car it goes to 1500 rpm and stays there even after a good drive.

I've notice there is a pipe by the manifold that had a big split in it

Could this be the problem if so what will it cost me to be repaired or what will the

Part cost to purchase if easy to fix

What is the part called etc

Thank you very much in taking your time to read this plea for help and replying

Cheers

Ian

It is very likely the problem. The intake system needs to be air tight and therefore your car will be running way too lean.

If its a vacuum hose, take the piece of pipe into any motor spares shop and they should be able to cut you a piece for loose change.
