Ac Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi all. I've had my focus for couple years and never really tried the AC. It doesn't appear to be working. I switch on the AC with blowers and cool air does come through but only cool air not like it should when on AC . Can the AC be re- gassed. I don't know anything about the ac because this is my first car with the option.

Thanks guys

if its not been used for a few years its likely the aircon is ceased mate

If you want it working, I would take it to an AirCon specialist, not Kwikfit etc. They can look at the system as a whole. Not only will it be empty of gas, but as the gas also lubricates the o rings and seals, these are also probably perished as well.

I am sure you can get it operational again, but it may set you back a few quid....

My Mk2 focus's Aircon has not been working for a while, and I have only just been bothered to take it to a mate of mines garage, and it needs a couple of the o rings replacing, and a full regas.
