Hi my wife has just managed to loose a remote key for her 2011 mk7 titanium fiesta, anyone any ideas where to buy a new one from ? How do I get a blade recut ? And how would I reprogramme it bearing in mind that it will have a patts system for security in use.

Here's hoping that I do not have to go to Ford.

    Then the central locking won't work

    If you buy a new uncoded key then an Auto locksmith can cut the blade, code the key to the central locking and programme the key transponder to the PATSII system for the immobiliser.

    It will cost about £80 for the locksmith and take about 20 minutes, and the key will cost about £20 - £30.

    Ford will charge about double for the same service.
