Hi

I have recently purchased 2010 ford fiesta titanium 1.6 TDCI.

I’m looking to make a few modifications to improve the performance but don’t want to make huge changes. My thinking is remapping and changing the exhaust, looking for some tips on how to improve performance and places to source good quality parts.

Any help will be helpful

Regards

hello joe.

it all depends on your budget really. but i would say go for a full remap, but after u have made some changes. having a full stainless steel exhaust system is a good start, i would say have a look at http://www.mountune.com. as they do performance fords. go for a full induction kit. not just a panel filter will have a small powergain as well.

for a remap check out http://www.htecelite.com. as can map to your needs.

Remap - SuperChips are good, good maps and reputation to go with and very helpful.

Diesel Tuning Box - people slate these because they're resistor's, God know's why but there you go, non-permanent way of upping power, I'd go for Speed Hawk, had mine now since April and it's a really good little piece of kit and a very helpful team there, can make custom maps too on the box.

Exhausts - Pumaspeed / any performance exhaust specialist. If you haven't got a DPF, Pumaspeed do a downpipe, if you do have one - bin it and get the downpipe but you'll probably need a remap then rather than a box.

Air Filters - take your pick, K&N panel's are decent if you're not wanting to get a full intake system, if so, don't look at anything under £100 or it's probably junk.

Turbo - Larger turbo = more power, but also more money. You'd need to get in touch with someone like PumaSpeed

Injectors - Heard the Focus 1.6's go straight in, and add a few bhp.

If it hasn't already been mentoned, try Bluefin. I would go with these over any other remap, since it gives you the option to revert to stock at any time.
