Inner & Outer Cv Boot Joints.

Featured Replies

Hi there.

Only a quick question if I may!

I need to replace my inner and outer cv joints on the o/s driveshaft. I'm aware I can remove the track rod end, lower arm ball joint and driveshaft 32mm nut and remove the hub part of the driveshaft from the brake disc.

Though, can I replace the inner cv boot by stretching it on from the hub end going towards the gearbox?

Cheers guys happy.gif

My only concern would be that while stretching it across it will collect dirt from the driveshaft etc etc or anywhere that loose grease has been (stones/grit)

I would thoroughly clean the surfaces you intend to move that boot so it gets the best possible start in life
