Need New Wishbone's, What Size Ball Joint Taper?

Need to replace the bushers on my Dec 2006 Foucs Titanium 1.8 TDCI, can get the work done for free will replace the wishbones to avoid any further problems.

Been looking online at prices but there seems to be two different size ball joint's an 18mm and 21mm does anyone know what size my vehicel is?

I just checked out my dads 1.8tdci 2005 mk2 (55 plate) and its showing 18mm

Type your reg into Eurocarparts....should come up with a good starting point.

Hi I have same problem, I have 1.6 petrol Ford Focus mk2 56 plate ordered wishbone for drivers side with 18mm taper joint but wrong size could it be 21mm I need

My 06 plate needed the 21mm ones, get a supplier to check for the correct size by giving them your VIN.

Yes there is only 18 or 21 mines was 21 even though they say if you have stone guards it should be 18. Ford is random and they won't tell you.

Yours will be 21mm as I have heard the 18mm is up to 03/2006.

I've never had a 1.8Tdci with 18mm.
They've always been 21mm

My 1.8 59plate has 21mm nuts so am guessing 21mm cone, as surly if it was 18 cone would have smaller nut. The replacement I bought has 22mm nut but says 21mm cone. Going to be fitted soon as they is a decent break in the weather. But everything I read up on suggests the 1.8 has 21mm cone
