Grab Handle

Featured Replies

Hi there, I bought a mk6.5 Fiesta a couple of weeks ago, and the passenger grab handle (above the door) is loose. I had a look but I am not sure whether there are any screws or anything which can be tightened, I was wondering if anyone knows of this problem/how to fix (tighten) it up again. Even if the grab handle has to be removed, and blanking plates put on, i'd rather that than have a loose handle.

I can upload a couple of photos if required.

There's usually bolts under flip out caps on the handle mounts.

They bolt into butterfly shaped brackets behind the headliner.

Any idea what to use to tighten them? I've flipped out the cap bits but nothing I have tried seems to actually tighten anything.

You may need to pull the door seal rubber off and get your fingers to the mounts up behind the head liner.
