Lowering My Car On Eibach Springs ?

Featured Replies

hi

looking into fitting some of these springs to my car but wanted to ask a few things first .

will it void my warranty by fitting them ?

will they fit my 1.25 mk7 ?

and will comfort be affected by fitting them ?

advice on any of the above would be good :)

hi

I'm looking at exactly the same thing chap!

iv heard it does NOT void warrenty

yes they will fit ALL mk7 Fiesta

and iv heard they are still as comfortable and better in the corners :)

hope this helps!

can they be fitted yourself or must they be fitted by ford ?

will need to ask the insurance if i can fit them :)

im not too sure on that one!

if anyone can find out would be good!

hope i can fit them myself so won't cost loads for someone to fit them :P

To retain the warranty I've head they should be fitted by Ford, but you might get away with a VAT registered garage.

It would affect comfort, I'm pretty sure you'll feel the bumps more.

okay cool thanks!

Do you know if eibach do 40 or 50mm springs or just 30mm??

The Ford approved ones are 35mm.

i was sure the aproved ones were 30mm ??

how much am i looking at inc fitting ?

i was sure the aproved ones were 30mm ??

I stand corrected ;) http://web2.carparts-cat.com/default.aspx?32=28239&51=229900005598&35=2299&125=0&36=189&124=189&14=4&10=C3DE7F9FFB1B1EFBE040A8C00A3E6607279004&12=140

Not sure on prices, could give your local dealer a call in the morning?

What if I want the pro kit with shocks and springs not just spring and no difference in ride will that void my warranty or will it be ok

got the eibachs fitted to my s1600 and all i can say is they are pretty sweet. got them as they dont void warranty and got them fitted by a mechanic from local ford dealer for £100 cash lol. yeah feel the bumps more but feels alot tighter round corners. personally i think anymore than 30mm springs and shocks could struggle so if it was me wanting more best to save for coilovers
