02 Focus 1.8Tdci....no Boost At All.

Featured Replies

All of a sudden,i have lost all turbo boost from my 02 focus 113hp tdci.

The car is not displaying a diagnostic warning light, and i have no black smoke,or unusual noises to indicate a failed turbo.

The car is basically driving like a flat 1.8 diesel,no misfires etc.

My initial thought was a split turbo or intercooler hose, but they are all ok.

I thought it could possibly be one of the valves on top of the engine under the plastic cover, but i have been led to beleive, this would throw the diagnostic light on.

Or possibly the sensor on the intercooler, but i assume this would also throw a light.

My local garage couldnt find anything, but he said his diagnostic equiptment is not exactly cutting edge.

Any idea??
