    I bought a Pipercross foam filter (I prefer these over K&N), it was £32

    did you feel any diffrence in driving ie power delivery ?

    Ive gone with the Pipercross filter. Car feels a little smoother through the rev range and revs more freely. I need to do a run to tell if its more economical.

    Got one from ebay some time ago for 30 odd quid.

    Can't say I really noticed much difference from the stock filter, but it must make some kind of difference as Mountune include one as part of their MR270 upgrade for the MK6 diesel which is just basically a remap & the air filter.

    Did these change the sound of the engine much?

    I'm not fussed at performance per say, but would like my 2L to be a bit more meaty sounding..?
