Hub Nuts Is There A Mugs Guide

Featured Replies

Hi from a very wet Mid Wales. I'm sure this has been asked before. The hub nuts on my 04 ..1.4 fiesta look very complicated...was going to check rear linings. The front drive shaft ones seem to have a locking tab but not like on some of my past other makes. Any one know the correct way to get them off and is there a need for new ones going back have i got a good chance of buggering it up should i take up needlework.

it should just be a 30mm nut made of of a few layers. only meant to reuse them a couple of times though.

Failing that, you can remove the 4x 13mm head bolts from the rear of the stub axle.

Weather permitting i will look into linings tomorrow. These cars are not to bad to service once you know and understand you can't wreck anything. The layered nuts looked off putting but now i know it will be easy. I am getting there.. a long time out of doing my own repairs things have moved on. Great site many thanks.
