Focus Leak

After some heavy rain, I found a 1" puddle of water in the passenger footwell of my T-reg Focus LX. There are no obvious marks on the doors / windows etc and the carpet was not wet above the puddle, so I'm fairly certain the water must have dripped down from between the glovebox and center console. Can anyone hazard a guess as to the cause of this and where to check for leaks?

edit: Just to be clear, I haven't changed anything recently or done any work. It's also rained a few times in the last week and I've not even had a drip until this happened.

its your pollen filter lid in the top of the bulkhead leting in water just seacrch the forum
