Ok, here we go again, whilst driving earlier, I pulled off a duel carrige way and all was good, then went to accelerate and the car lost power and started jerking. I pulled over and on tickover it was lumpy, the rev counter was visibly up and down. I tried to rev the car and it didn't want to do anything, no response, next min it would rev to 4k but no more, then down to 2k with foot firmly planted on the floor. Whilst trying to rev the engine, it was also smoking quite a bit. Wouldn't drive, just didn't have the power to pull away. So turned off the engine, left it for about 20 seconds, started it up again, and all is fine again ??? No smoke, no hesitation, no power loss, I'm baffled, and its kind of knocking my confidence in travelling any kind of distance in the car. Anyone else had this problem, hints/tips would be helpful. Regards, Mike.
